StudyRoom is a solo-operated English tutoring service. I personally handle all data and communications. When you request a free trial lesson, I collect:

• Your name – so I know who I'm speaking with

• Your email address – so I can respond to your request and communicate about lessons

• Any message or details you include – to understand your learning goals and needs

Why I Collect This Information

I collect your information for straightforward reasons:

• To respond to your trial lesson request

• To communicate with you about scheduling and lessons

• To provide the tutoring services you've requested

Legal Basis for Processing

In plain English: I process your data because you've asked me to respond to your trial request and potentially provide tutoring services. This is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. I also have a legitimate interest in running my tutoring service and communicating with prospective students.

How Your Data is Stored and Protected

Your information is stored securely using reputable infrastructure providers. I take reasonable technical measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. While no system is completely secure, I do my best to keep your information safe.

How Long I Keep Your Data

I keep trial request data only as long as necessary. If we don't proceed with lessons, your information will be deleted after a reasonable period. If you become a student, I'll retain your data for as long as we're working together and for a reasonable time afterwards for record-keeping purposes.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access – request a copy of the personal data I hold about you

• Correction – ask me to correct any inaccurate information

• Deletion – request that I delete your personal data
